Pompeii - Bastille

Old cities have always intrigued me. As have old songs. Don't you feel that music was just a tad better back in the day?

No?

Then I'm left with only these two suggestions:

1. Enjoy the s*** out of this weeks lesson, a current-chart-topper (about -you guessed it- an old city) which features in a very fine beginner - intermediate lesson, handling four (AGAIN!?) fairly basic chords and later on adding a few nice extensions and voicing techniques to 'em (also note how the signature 'choir' part -that is indeed shown how to play on keys- from this song originates back to those foundational harmonies).

2. Keep a large (large!, BIG) eye out for next weeks lesson, that will show you true music (and how to play it of course!) by tackling an absolute classic that I'm sure every one of you knows. (hint: baby Michael, swing your pants off).

And keep in mind: it is the old that founded the new. Wow. Deep.

For now: Have fun!

Cheers, Coen.

  1. Ahhh! I can't decide which song to learn first! This is the perfect way to learn songs with the visual and you playing it. Thank you so much.
